Last Friday morning my Father in Law, Wife of 55 years to the day to Mary, Dad to Andrew, Alan and Margaret and Granddad to Debbie, Robert, James, Chelsea, Whitney and Nicholas collapsed while on an errand at the campsite in North Berwick and passed away. This has come as a heartbreaking loss to our family. He was a wonderful man in every role he had with each of us and will be sorely missed.

They were on holiday at North Berwick here in Scotland taking my children one at a time as they have done for many years on holiday. Each in turn spent a week of quality time with their Granddparents, enjoying all the attention they could ever want or need.

This is a painful loss for everyone and I am really lost for words. The funeral is likely to be next Monday in Liverpool, all to be confirmed later today or tomorrow.

I have Grandma and all the family here with me at my house and there is great comfort in them all being together and sharing in the list of things that need to be organised and sharing in the wonderful tales and memories of a wonderful man. He must be so proud of his family as he watches over them right now. They are truly amazing people including the children who have been simply wonderful and beautifully behaved.

Dad, I loved you, I always will, you were always wonderful to me and to the children. I have a million memories of how you made us laugh and smile, I won’t ever forget xx Miss you xx
