Summer 07One of the classes Mel taught at the recent ATDML retreat was on making your own clay embellishments. Now at first glance I thought Yikes! as did my matey Izzy haha! But true to form I had a go.

Most made fabulous buttons and used Makin clay cutters to form title letters. They looked great!

I picked this photograph out of those I had with me. I took this last summer and it made an appearance in a fun camera club competition named ‘Images of Summer’ and caused quite a laugh and won me a 2nd place.

As with all my club shoots and images I like to try  and get them into an album of their own for me to look back on.

This one went well with these gorgeous papers from ‘My Minds Eye’.  So I set about trying to create clay raindrops. The first few got squished and re-done heehee, however I stuck with it for the entire class and that was all I managed at the time allocated to the class!

On getting home it has been finished. I find if  I don’t leave the unfinished kits out and make a concerted effort to complete them fairly quickly, they never get done.

I also added thie flower centre and leaves in clay and then called it a day on my clay making ;)

The doodles and faux stitching was most therapeutic on an evening after a really stressful day. I find colouring in a great wind down too. I am just  BIG kid lets face it.

Summer closeOk now the giveaway winner for the Grungeboard that I posted last wednesday.

I asked a random number generator to  choose a number from the numbered comments left and it chose number…

Congratulations to  Sue Bone, email me with your details and I shall get that grundgeboard to you.

Thanks to those that played along, really good of you.

I will have another great giveaway of the Heidi Swapp variety next week :D

Can I just add that I realise the photographs I posted the other day are not showing for all. Don’t know why that is, they loaded fine and I can see them through Firefox but not through Safari or IE7, most odd!

Can I also indulge in a quick wave and Hello to Anne Innis. Be in touch soon x

Until later xx..
