Well that has to be the best retreat I have had the pleasure of attending. Mel and Jill of ‘A Trip Down Memory Lane’ did an outstanding job. The attention to detail was amazing, the class were FAB, teachers were all fantastic, Make’n'takes brilliant, food divine , hotel exquisite and the company, well, fun and laughter, what more could a girl want. Met some good friends again and made some new ones :D

I am wiped out and in need of some down time but thought I would share this rather fine mirror from Clare Browns Make’n'Take class on Sunday afternoon.

mirror Clare showed us the easiest way to cover this with one sheet of patterned paper of out choice. I chose this 7 Gypsies pink one as this was ear marked as a gift for someones baby nursery.

I took some time out late this afternoon to add the paint, embellishments and trimmings. The wings are grunge board, the gem crown is Heidi Swapp, other crystals and flowers from Prima and some ribbon. The ribbon addition is inspired by a wooden jigsaw frame one of the delegates, a lovely lady named Ann, had on her crop table all weekend. I admired it greatly. It was black and white with ribbon wrapped around it, loads of buttons and a lovely black and white photograph in it. I took a picture of it but its still on the camera ha ha!

I think its rather cute! Nice quick project that makes it perfect for this kind of class.

Lots happening this week, lots of news to share (at last) and lots to show, its going to be GREAT :D

Until later xx…
