Now those of you who know me and those who follow my eternal rambles and latest scrapping antics on here and elsewhere will know that a few months ago I finally set about get my digi scrapping in hand. One of the things I had longed to do was play properly with some of the kits I had long adored at Weeds & Wildflowers. I then got overly excited at the prospect of the opening of Prima Hybrid, well imagine my delight to find the one of my favourite digi designers, Gina Marie Huff, was actually now exclusive to Prima Hybrid :D Now, not many scrapping related issues excite my soul this much hahah! But this was very cool! All 3 designers at Weeds design exceptional kits!

I remember the first time last year I actually looked at the kits at Weeds & Wildflowers and being completely in awe of it all. I mean just how do they do all that? It has lit a spark in me for a thirst for knowledge on many levels but one step at a time eh?

There is now a forum at WW and a new look blog with lots of new and exiting things planned. The Gallery at WW has never liked me, can’t get in to comment or post, so I have never uploaded anything there but that is being addressed for me now so its all good. In the meantime I took up two challenges. One to create an AMM (All about Me) layout. Ok not my favourite thing to do, I mean, scrapping my mug is hardly eye candy haha! But still, sometimes its good to do so I did. So for the 2nd time in recent weeks I scrapped me!

Me Not enough laughing recently and a conscious effort to remember to laugh was needed. Anyone who knows me in my real life will know that I am generally a happy, bouncy kinda gal. Excepting when grumpy, shouty husbands get in the way (see yesterday’s entry) He is off to work now *smiles*

I do normally laugh quite often, I am easily amused one might say. So laughter is part of what makes me me.

A gorgeous kit by Gina Marie, ‘Being Me’ Exception is that pen is by Ronna Penner from a kit called ‘Express Yourself’.

Next up was a blog challenge to use a freebie kit (details came through an email newsletter) no less with an added bonus of a fab set of frames. You can check that out on the blog.

So I set about using the freebie kit. One thing I have never managed to achieve as yet is scrapping all my favourite baby pictures of Nicholas. When you come into scrapping past the baby stage like me I think it takes some focus to stop looking at the here and now and go back and get those favourite shots, who cares how good they are?

When I saw the super word art in the kit I remembered a few random shots taken in the garden at our first home. It was such a funny moment and I thought it might work with the kit and so it did (Well I think so ;)

Bloom At just 20 months old this little bundle of complete joy wondered off to a very old trough which was lying empty and waiting for some plants I was seeding. He duly climbed in and planted himself :D Cracked me up!

Actually the word art means more to me than it would to most. My children, all 4, most definitely bloomed where they were planted and that was with us, not where they were ’seeded’ so to speak.

Added to the kit were some stunning butterflies by Patricia Christensen of WW and part of a kit that is on my list of MUST DO NEXT named ‘Enchanted Garden’ available at Prima Hybrid. This is a stunning kit on its own but these butterflies up close are just amazing. The kit is in black & white and Sepia tones, yum!

I used some bug PS brushes that I cannot remember the source of but are very cool too. Some things I just can’t track back.

Lots of fun to do, no matter if its ‘good’ or not, I like it and it raises some very happy memories and that is what I love about this hobby. Printed and into his baby album it goes.

Gushing now over, back to work…..

Until later xx …
