On this day 7 years ago we walked out of court as a family. A family that no one could take apart, James, Chelsea and Whitney were legally ours. We asked the children what they wanted to do to celebrate and you don not get a prize for guessing what they said……….”Can we go to MacDonalds”  We did but it was so early they were only serving breakfast hahah! Then we came home to many balloons, many congratulations and friends well wishes. It was a very special day that had taken a year to get too. The children blew bubbles all over the house from champagne shaped bubble bottles and ate cake. Whitney had not a clue what was going on, she was only 3 and had just the day before had surgery to have ear gromits fitted, her tongue tie cut and adenoids removed, she was a little spaced out bless her!1st Adoption Day1st Adoption Day Every year since on this date we celebrate. Andrew gets the day off and we do something together, always preceded by a trip to ToysRus where they each choose something haha!  I think that is the only reason they look forward to their second birthday celebration of the year ;)Today we are going to pick up Nicholas  from his Grandparents (Hoorah) and we are off to a theme park and then tonight we are booked into a new local Italian restaurant.  Nicholas has a different Adoption Day (March) but of course joins in the fun with the others today. The picture above was taken on that 1st Adoption Day 7 years ago and this week Chelsea chose it to put in her first completed scrapbook album. I grabbed a quick scan before she did. It feels like they have always been part of out lives, its hard to remember a time when they were not.Forever Love & Hugs to our special children , our lives are richer for loving and being loved by you.

Until later xx ……
