Class 40 - Bleach on PhotosAs some of you know I have been doing a couple of BPS classes lately, ‘52 Card Pick Up’ which is now in its 8th week and more recently ‘Colours of Your World’. I seem to do a lot of classes and add self inflicted pressure to my workload but I have to say that the 52 Card Pick Up has been the best thing I have done in the 18 months I have been scrapping.
That is not to say I would do all of the techniques we have covered again or that some were not new to me but to have so many examples in one deck of 5×7 cards is just brilliant! It has amazed me how many I have tried and enjoyed and now use or think of using on other projects. Money well spent in my book. If it ever comes up again I would recommend it as a definite. You would not be sorry.

Class 41 - Resist Painting with Vaseline
I would never have bleached a photo or used Vaseline as a resist medium, as these last two cards show, it would never had crossed my mind but to try something at least once is a good thing.
Working with a single colour for layouts for ‘The Colours of Your World’ has been really therapeutic, I have enjoyed all 3 so far. Each one has techniques from 52 Card Pick Up that I liked and yes I mess around a bit longer but its great fun.
Orange is this weeks colour and oh no, no subtle shade for me, full blown vivid orange it is haha!
A glaze colour washed background over 7 Gypsies Capri papers was the starting point, a HS mask, lots of stamping with various inks, clear embossed letters and some distressed photos of one of my favourite flowers, The Bird of Paradise.
If there is a long way to do something I seem to always pick it and even though it may not be to everyone style or taste it was fun and I enjoyed it, scrapping colour therapy, much better than shouting at the kids in week 3 of the school holidays or kicking the cat (if I had one).
Value for money I would say.
Until later xx….

Loved reading your story in the post below. Such a happy ending
Your cards look so great for the "52 Pickup Card" BPS class! I’ve got behind with mine the last two weeks, but then I knew that would happen at this time so I’m trying not to stress too much about it LOL!
