My Grandmothers Handwriting
This certificate in my Mothers name is the only thing I have that is in the handwriting of my Grandmother. I only found this at the end of last year along with a studio photograph that I can’t place my hand on right now.
My Mum lost her Mother when she was only 9 years old. Her Father was never seen again after the day she was born. Mum was raised by a series of Aunts and that is a whole other story.
I found myself digging this out because of today’s class technique from BPS’s 52 Card Pick Up. The class actually was about scanning in handwriting from the back of old photographs but I don’t have any and then while I was thinking what to do I remembered this.
This is quite a special item for me and one that was destined for a scrapbook page, I just have to find the right layout for it. For now it is in my card deck and at least I have been prompted to get it scanned so I am pleased at that.
