Some things work and Some Don’t
At the Craft Heaven crop on Sunday I sealed, painted and edged & glazed these chipboard letters for this double page. This is a Design Collective class from Scrapdolly. I love her classes and designs and had been trying to find the time to get this one done for a couple of weeks now. Kimble Palace at Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens is one of my favourite places and I do love the pictures, shame about the layouts
It took so long to get the letters done that I stopped after they were finished and left them to dry and got on with the class kit. Last night I got it finished and its nothing like what I imagined it would be. Don’t know what it is but it doesn’t work. Dolly’s pages were very different to these, that is just fine, good to be different but I was disappointed. Why did I not just stop and start over LOL! Anyway, it was good practice for many things including the painting/colouring of the stamped swirls so all was not lost.
The first proper class from BPS 52 Card Pick Up went up yesterday. A quick and easy relief embossing technique. Of course I could not just leave it at that, no no no, fiddle, fiddle, fiddler am I. It was fun though…
I am stuck in waiting for the postie to come and I am having a dropsy day. Almost everything I pick up lands on the floor at some point GRRR! Does not bode well for a good crafty day does it?
Until Later xx …..

Hi Heather - I haven’t seen Dolly’s original class so can’t compare but I think your LOs look fab - love the green and red on the white background - very elegant.
Your relief embossing technique is fantastic too…just wish I could find the time to experiment with new techniques more
Oh god would it be really cheeky of me to point out that I think it is the Kibble palace…aaargh - hope you don’t take offence - just if it was me I would rather know - I hope I havent upset you by mentioning it…eeek! Let me know we are still pals OK
