Ups & Downs
Its been a day of two halves. First half kicked off ok. The first Design Collective classes arrived to my inbox this morning and were not at all disappointing. 3 fab classes and a hints and tips sheet YEAH! I think I am going to quite enjoy this. This layout on the left is one from Kirsty’s class. I love the style of it and I added my own challenge rules before I even started.
1. Must use up old paper I thought I would never use.
2. Use these eyelets, I have tons of them and they are not my favourites at all.
Mission accomplished although I did nearly pull the eyelets out at the end LOL!
This paper was among the very first I bought. It was more like a 12×12 photograph of rose petals on a silk sheet. Never knew what to do with it and here it is, well the petals from it anyway.
The rubons are the freebies from Scrapbook Inspirations a few months back, never thought I would use them either. I really have to stick to my stash diet, I must, this new iMac that is causing me all this work has blown my budget for some time lol! I am only allowing myself 7Gypsies ‘must haves’ and the odd kit from crops etc. I have a couple of planned retreats this year and I need to keep some pennies for that. So these classes are going to be a twofold challenge. Although I must have enough stash to keep my going for some time LOL!

Quotes CJI completed the last entry in a CJ last night. It has been great fun doing the CJ’s in this group and I have no regrets whatsoever. I signed up for another recently, a tag book, something I have not done as a CJ so this should be good too. This CJ was on ‘Quotes’ I choose two quotes that sit close to my heart and will come back next week and explain them further.
The end of my day was not a pleasant one. Nicholas had a bad fall off a ladder in the garden. I had no idea what had caused his tears and I was told by my eldest son he had tried to move a ladder and scraped his fingers. Not true. The story came out eventually, hours after the fall and I was besides myself with worry. He had a HUGE lump on his head and had fallen twice his height from a ladder he had carried from the garage to the wall at the side of the house. All aided by the my crazy eldest son. I cannot believe he helped a 3 year old carry and climb a ladder. The ladder was not on level ground and after holding it for a short time James let it go and down Nicholas came.
I had wondered why Nicholas was so inconsolable. He usually bounces back from tumbles so quickly, now that I know what happened I am not surprised it took him hours, he was in shock. I feel sick at the thought of what could have happened out there today, I only left him to come into answer the phone, it happened so quickly!
So James is back in the dog house and after some food, TLC, Luna Jim on DVD and some stories from Mum, Nicholas went to bed much happier. Very lucky boy. Very lucky Mum.
Until later xx
