Design Recollections

Yesterdays little field trip with the ladies from the camera club took the whole of the afternoon. I was slowed down somewhat by a tag-a-long 3 year old. He had pleaded to come with me as I was leaving and I caved in! It was easier on Roz this way too, meant she could ‘play’ in my craft room without too many interruptions, well that was the theory lol!

Roz, you did a fab job for me here and I am eternally grateful¹)

We had a list of 10 shots that had to be snapped. The weather was outstanding, in fact, just a little too sunny and too bright for our cause. However a lot of the shots were ‘thought’ to have been bagged but I do think a little trip out again will be needed. It was too hazy to take a panorama and a landscape.

Nicholas however was a star, he charmed the ladies and was very well behaved (I think he used all his ‘behaved’ points up yesterday as today he has been a nightmare!) He was treated to chips at lunchtime (A BIG fav), lots of boats and yachts to ogle over as well as the many Jet skis and canoes that were out. He loved it.

The day was rounded off with an ice cream which he proudly wore across his face and down his front.  The wee soul walked for miles and it took a lot of coaxing to get him through that last stretch back to the car. We set off for home and he was very quiet after a  short time. I had a peak in my rear view mirror and he was sound sleep. Now Nicholas never falls asleep in the car, well, very rarely.

I promised fish and chips for all the gang back home and snapped this rare moment outside the fish shop. Oh how lovely they all are when they are asleep lol!

The fish and chips were duly scoffed at home and Roz and I got a chance to chat and finish off a few things before it was time for home.

I started a DT layout yesterday which I finished this morning and got a second one done on and off throughout the day. Good to be back playing with paper after the week off I seem to have had. Not so impressed with them to be honest but I felt a bit rusty, need to get the oil out I think

Ok now to go rest a while. It has been a tiresome day with Master Nic and I am done in.
