Mothers Day CardsDon’t ya just hate paperwork? I do, its boring and I hate the pile that grows oh so quickly round about me. Today I had great intentions and ended up (in that roundabout way you do) getting stuck on admin for my Rainbow and Brownie Guides. Once I got into it I was a dog with a bone. My thinking was if I had to give up time to it I was not going to spread that out over several days. So my mission was to sort, file, reply and account for the aforementioned ‘pile’. Now if life was simple, it would have been a straight forward job but ohhhhhhh no! Not for me. I have to have double of everything to to sort through and double accounts too ARG! Add to that a newly launched ‘Access Database Accounting system’, mixed with Girlguiding UK and their determination to make things awkward and the day has been protracted and complicated and NO its not finished as the dam DB won’t work with multiple accounts!!

So tomorrow I have to speak to SHQ, who apparently are aware of the script errors in the program (Do’h! You launched it anyway??) and then it may get the accounts started/finished IFKWIM A lot of work. *sigh*

Entered into the spirit of things on the Design Collective forum and join in a pre class challenge to get some Mothers Day cards done and dusted (above) and I really do like these stamps by Autumn Leaves. These are designed by Katie Pertiet and are called ‘Build-a-flower’ and they work soooo well. Added to this was a fab order from Stamp Galaxy of Dewdrop Brilliance Inks in the pastel shades I did not have (oh and some amazing Lightening Black) and I was a happy bunny!

Scots Word Journal - Quines and LoonsI did manage to get another page done for my Scots Words Journal. This time it was ‘Quines and Loons’ or ‘Boys and Girls’ to the rest of the UK lol! Could not resist using this hilarious picture of Nic, dressed by his sister of course, as Mrs Claus in a tiara mwhahaha! Would you believe that tonight she dressed him up as ‘Belle’ and he came strolling in shouting proudly "Look at me Mummy, I am a Princess" *snort* A story for when he is older haha!

Ok random thoughts from today:

I have loved watching Comic Relief Does Fame Academy this year, so entertaining! and I love TPT, Go Tara, final is tomorrow night, 7PM, BBC1

Thought tonights Comic Relief’s ‘Apprentice’ was most amusing too - GO THE GIRLS! and please Sir Alan, fire Morgan, he drives me bonkers!

Decided on a new computer today, I am having an iMac, gawd help me, should be here next week. I am going to run both side by side for a while and see how it goes. My brother is the Mac expert so at least I can call him and scream when I get stuck lol! *Waves to Stewart*

Camera club was interesting last night, more on that later.

Wanted to say to rounds of Congratulations before I go. One for Karen (AKA Scrapdolly), so pleased for you and you know why. So well deserved and made my day hearing the news.

Another for Suzanne (AKA Fruitysuit) for making it through to the last 25 of MM idol - GO Suzanne and best of luck, I love your work and you deserve you place so much.

Lastly to answer a blog question from the previous entry. The flourish rubons I used on that BPS class layout were Hambly and I got them from Angela at Angel Crafts. So scrummy are they I have the whole collection LOL!

Now to bed I must go, the inlaws are arriving tomorrow lunchtime for the weekend and I have a lot to sort before they get here, no shock there then.
