Inspiration
Our inspiration for projects comes from such a variety of sources, sometimes it is hard for me to pin down exactly where I got an idea from. Then along comes a project that grabs you, someone else inspires you to work on new things and last weekend at Luxurious Angels it happened to me, twice!
I sat in on Roz’s Board Book class, it was just fab! Lots of lovely papers, cut up and made to fit inside this little book. It was such great fun to do and sitting with Kirsty to do it only encouraged us to heckle her from the back row LOL! Sorry Roz
I am going to use my little book to record my retreats and classes this year. I think that too was Roz’s idea hahah!
I have spent today working on a DT project for Lippy Chick. The new Flap Book was launched at the retreat and is now live on the website. It is definitely my favourite book so far, closely followed by the Flip.
Roz’s ‘Make N Take’ challenge at the retreat was simply inspired. It was called ‘With These Hands’. I found the whole experience really moving as the challenge was to journal what you do with your hands around the imprint of your hands. I found myself writing from my heart straight to my children. Roz has been unable to bring herself to read it. It was just ‘one of those things’ and ‘one of the moments’ when your pen takes over and I wrote what I felt. I was not going to put it here but then today Kirsty took on the idea and rolled it out on UKS as her International Book of Me challenge for this year. Last year was an amazing success and so many people took part. This was the first time I EVER scrapped me. I was beside myself with worry and just could not do it for weeks. Just before the deadline I took the bull by the horns and scrapped me. This was it, no going back and I can’t believe how far I have come since then.

1st Ever BoM Page - I am a MotherThis 8×8 was all I could muster and a cropped picture was as good as it got. It was a start.
So this year its ‘With These Hands’ and you can read more about it on UKS HERE
You won’t be sorry you did it, of that I am sure and for that I owe a debt of thanks to Kirsty.

My Gift - A Beautiful AlbumI wanted to share my beautiful gift that I received from Angela and Roz for teaching at Luxurious Angels. I was so touched. Clever gift as they knew I was struggling with LO’s not enough albums, this is beautiful and I love it. Thanks ladies.
Finally don’t forget to get your name in for the Free stash draw at the weekend. There is a link on the right to the entry with all the details or just scroll down a day haha!
Night all,
Until later xx……

OMG, how emotional was the weekend, I think that the with these hands make and take, brought a few of us to tears, but how great is that, I loved your take on it as well, but still can’t bring myself to read it. I wub your little book, and the title is so apt. BTW, I really liked the heckling. mwahahahahahha

I love your hands LO - the best thing about that idea was the difference between them all and the emotions they captured. I love the idea of keeping a record of your classes in the travel book - I must get mine started soon. Take care and thanks for the pic x x x
