debsclass.jpg.JPGWell as much as I dislike this photograph (Nowt to do with Kirsty’s fabbaroonie skills let me add) I have to show you the wonderful class that I did at Kirsty’s Creative Photography and Scrapping Day I was at on Saturday. I had a wonderful day, thoroughly enjoyed it after an awful week that I have now forgotten ;)

This superb class with a stamped acetate overly was taught by the mega talented Debbie (mumof4boys). Loved the class and without a doubt, one of the best I have done in the last year.

The morning was the photography classes taught by Kirsty and Natalie with lots of practical sessions and basic theory. I really enjoyed it and as much as I had covered it before it was fab to get the camera out and just play. We had a right laugh out on the street trying to photograph speeding cars as they zipped through the small village LOL! Way to fast for our purpose but great fun all the same.  Kirsty treated us all the a ‘Kaptured by Kirsty’ shot for Debbie class later in the day and that is why my lovely canvas is called what it is. This way I can live with the picture of me and keep it as a momento of the day.

Kirsty's Class

Kirsty class was fabbo too. A technique based class where we decorated a star cut from acetate with glossy accents. Very swish! I managed to set my eyelets to close to the points of the star hahah and they fell out when I tried to sew the thread through the holes. So I waited until this morning and cut, decorated and set another, this time I got it right ;) This is now my version of the class haha!

Kirstys Class Close Up This close up shows the star as best as I could photograph it.

The day was attended by many lovely ladies and I was thrilled to meet Debbie at last as well as Susanne and Charlotte to name but a few. To meet a few more Scottish lasses was a real bonus. It was truly a great day and on the way home I felt ‘alive’ the first time I had in a week. Now that is therapy of the creative kind.

Another is planned for later in the spring so no holding me back from that one if I can help it.

Lots more news and chat on things I want to talk about but I really am tired tonight and that will have to wait. Andrew and I took the kids out to Roukenglen Country Park this afternoon. The kids had a ball and I took the camera out for a play, it was all good. Came home to a lovely roast dinner and its now 10PM and I still have to sort some uniform bits for the morning so I best head off and do that.

One last BIG thank you to Kirsty, Natalie and Debbie for a super day. To Jane for the B&B, superb as always, and to Roz for her company and driving, lastly to Mrs Sat Nav for getting it all so right this time lol!

Until later xx …
