Little Words of Love & Dare #40
Well I had a crack at a Domino Book yesterday. Learned lots along the way but it was fun if a little tricky doing things on such a tiny scale. Getting your thread in a knot (twice) during binding the pages stage is not advisable lol! This was great fun and I will do this again very soon but not with Dominos, I have another project sitting here waiting to try now. ![]()
Back View With lessons learned on this one it should work out better. I used Alcohol Inks to colour the domino itself, Ranger foil tape to edge the piece, Micro beads, jewellery beads, ribbon, Asst Stamps, Stazon,Distress Inks, and wax thread to bind the pages.
I printed an A4 sheet (on both sides) of text weight paper with various words of love ![]()
Book Openand appreciation with my other half in mind. Each page was cut to highlight a specific word and then embellished with some stamping/colour/embellishment of one sort or another. Tricky, challenging ,but fun and that is what it is all about. (All these images are thumbnails, clicking them brings a bigger image, I also put them into the main gallery)
Speshal Dare #40 went up at the new time of 8PM on Friday night. This week the wonderfully talented Jane Dean joined the team. Worth a look as always peeps, its a minefield of inspiration. My Lowly effort is done.
I used this prompt for a page for my BoM. This is one of those things I do every day of my life come hail or shine. I must have 30 minutes of quiet ‘me’ time first thing in the morning. I wake naturally before everyone else, always have and pop the kettle on. I sit for 30 minutes mostly between 7-7.30AM and let my brain wake up on its own. When 7.30AM comes I am ready (most of the time lol) to face the world. This is most definitely a very ME tradition. A good page for my book, thanks girls once again.
Until later xx………..
