Design Recollections

I Love UR SmileWhere on earth is the time going? Its is February 1st and I can hardly believe it. The last 3 weeks have just vanished before my eyes and I have to admit I am glad. Historically January has been a dreadful month for me. For several years it has brought nothing but tears, pain, illness or something along those lines but not this year. It has flown past and been a very creative time on many levels.

Last night I was at the Camera Club, another competition and another two prints got good placing, it went well. Tonight I was at an arranged photo shoot. Two girls and a bloke! Yes a bloke, I thought YES! For no other reason than it is rare to get any good shots of male models. He was a nice lad who did a great job. I am too tired to open the pictures tonight so that is on tomorrows list. The girls did a lovely job too, very pretty, very young, make you sick hahahah!

First Day - Nursery SchoolI started a Big Picture Scrapbooking Class today. This one is called ‘Product Playground’ and is run by Lisa Damrosch. in the main it is about using various embellishments and products in different ways on your craft projects, be that cards, books or layouts. Week ones instructions centre on using bookplates in different ways. I had these pictures near the top of the list to scrap from Nicholas’s first day at Nursery and as Lisa had complete a layout on her pre-school son as an example in her gallery, seemed like a perfect excuse to get this page done. I promised myself that I would not buy any supplies for this 6 week course and I dug to the very bottom of my paper collection and took out these papers.  These were some of the first I bought in an album kit over a year ago now. The bookplates came from various sources and I had the epoxy stickers on my stash too! Result I thought. I painted all the chipboard and the title (cut from chipboard using Ellison dies ‘Go Slim’) with Jo Sonjas paint ‘Sapphire’.

So now to bed I must go, my eyes are shutting.
