Its all change around here. The New Year has brought around some changes and decisions that hopefully will result in positive change for me, less stress and more fun.

Crackle Glazed Letters
I have continued with my Christmas journal and the New Year pages are done and in my book, just a few days left to go. I quite like this crackle glaze, I hope you can see some of the effect from this close up.

So that page was the start of the changes, I wrote some down and thought about a lot more. The first thing I did was to resign as Chair from my ladies group. I am continuing as Letting Officer but that is it. I will support in class as I always have done and continue teaching and that will be the fun part.

I am also resigning as Brown Owl at the end of June when we close. When I return in the Autumn it will just be as a Rainbow Guider. Since the magical stork brought Nicholas to us it has become increasingly more difficult to manage both commitments. I struggle, worry, feel guilty, and still run the pack. I cannot keep my little one until 9PM at night just to volunteer for this anymore. My only other alternative was to pay £30 for a minder and upset my son, not really an option in my book.

This is a HUGE change for me after so many years but its all for the good. My family come first and I have struggled unsupported for for too long.

My School Jumper.jpgMy baby started nursery today too, another BIG change. He was soooo excited! He sure was looking forward too this. He put on his Nursery Sweatshirt and beamed from ear to ear. He kept pointing at the badge saying. "My school badge", priceless!

We walked up to the School and he was running ahead of us. He said more than once he did not need us and he would go himself lol! I asked him not to sack us just yet….

He went in, found his coat hook, hung up his jacket, got out his prized new trainers and put them on. He went into the Nursery and took his name to show he was ‘present’ and stuck it onto the board and was off in a flash to sit at the computer, the one thing he has talked off constantly since his previous visits. (He has one at home but you know script) When I went to nursery school it was exciting to see brightly coloured building blocks, my new millennium child gets excited at  over a computer!! He is barely 3 years old……*sigh*

We left him to it for the allotted time and he never looked back. "Bye Mum, bye Dad" without a so much as a glance over his shoulder.

I could hardly see for tears as we walked back out through the school grounds. A mixture of sadness for my loss and happiness for his gain and all he has in front of him. He was ready for this and it was the right thing to do. (If I keep saying that for a few days even I will be fine ;)

Nursery Computer.jpgSo many changes over a short few days but all for the good and they will make a positive difference to all our lives.

This year I am going to review and refine all my commitments and be careful what I agree too. It is time to start saying NO ….something I have always found difficult.

One of my plans for this year was to do a few courses I fancied. Just short term ones on things that interest me. Having tutored a group on ECDL (European Computer Driving License) and never having wanted to actually do it myself, I signed up for PC Passport. It starts next week at my local community centre. 20 weeks is all it is and maybe there will be something in this that I will not know and enjoy more than ECDL. I am no PC dummy but I always feel there is more to learn and maybe this will fill the gap. They have a crèche and Nicholas is used to the ladies that work in it, so it is all good.

Off to camera club tonight with my precious prints in tow. Feeling brave just now but by the time I get there who knows lol!

Hope your all well xx Until later……….
