Still Here!
Yip, still here, still breathing and trying to get on. So much has gone on and not all to the good this week that blogging any of it would have been far too depressing. I started this blog to share a little of me but mainly to talk paper and sticky stuff. I have struggled like never before this week to get anything done in that department and the pressure was not much fun (self imposed I might add), so I have taken my foot off the gas and stuck it on the brake. After a breather I decided not to continue trying to complete my Christmas Journal this year. It was too much like hard work and I have so many things to finish for Christmas that what little time or energy I have has to be channeled into these things. There is always next year right?I have flood and storm damage everywhere I look, never before in my life have I witnessed such weather and chaos but it matters not in the grand scheme of things. I have 10 days left to get Christmas right, my children are what is important and the nightmare storms and floods just meant that they got time of school this week haha! The Carol and Nativity concert did go ahead this week and it was School brilliant and the girls looked just great and we all enjoyed every second of it. The fact that chaos was raining down outside mattered not a jot for those few hours to any of us.
Today I went over to see Roz, Angela and Ann who were all meeting at Roz’s houses for some crafting time and then out for lunch. It was just lovely to get away from everything for the day and the lunch was delish! We had a great time, well I did! I got two more Christmas gifts sorted out. These exploding boxes are really great fun to do. I started the first one at Kirsty’s class during Sarah’s Cards Christmas Retreat and never got around to doing much bar cutting the cardstock. Well now it is home to 24 picures from the whole year of the children and will go to my MIL. The second one is a kit from A Trip Down Memory Lane. I bought this to do Anso’s Scrappad CC class but when I got over to Roz’s today I found a different set of instruction for a similar box that Ann had brought kits for. She and Roz started making them and the lid construction was really sturdy and the sizing of the internal pages simpler than any I have seen anywhere so I changed tack and copied that one. This box is for my Mum and again is home to photographs of the kids.I have a few more items to finish over the weekend and I am done. Still to post my Christmas cards but at least they are made.I had a lovely day out and tomorrow night I am off out over to Carols for a girlie night so I am really looking forward to that.Short interlude in writing there are Whitney came down saying she felt sick! Chelsea was off today as she felt sick, something is doing the rounds and it best keep itself away from me ;)I best go and take care of her so I shall call it a day here. Thank you to all who have been thinking of us this week, I appreciated all the thoughts and kindness. Thanks Roz, Angela and Ann for your company today, Cheered me up no end.Take care xx
