Just when you think…………
Just when you think things are running smoothly within your family along pops the next problem to blow the wind out of your sails. If I was being honest things had been too quiet with my eldest, James, for the last few weeks. I should have known, it was just a matter of time.So Andrew and I are visiting the High school Monday morning to see what can be done and find out exactly what has been going on but as I type he is upstairs completely an ‘Official’ punishment exercise for forging my signature (again) on a previous punishment exercise!! He arrived home from school today and pretended that everything was just peachy! Not a word about the trouble until I challenged him at 5PM, he then lied through his teeth until I stood and stared him out and the penny dropped that I already knew. The joke is that the teachers told him today they would call me so why why why why he carried on pretending is just beyond me. He truly believes his own lies and really thinks he can pull a fast one over every adult involved. I despair! When I asked him what he intended to do about the now double ‘Official’ exercise (which always needs a parental signature) guess what he said?”I was going to forge yours”I rest my case for the prosecution Gov’ner……………..
Watercolour HollyOn a happier note Nicholas and I had a lovely day (well, until the lunchtime phone call anyway), it was pouring outside once again so I changed the planned trip out and we played at home. After lunch he watched a DVD for a while and I played with a lovely new Hero Arts stamps that arrived this week. Watercolour Holly and Holiday Words. They stamp just beautifully. I was inspired after a class at Craft Heaven yesterday where we water coloured a Christmas tree with TH Distress inks, very cool! So I did that with the holly this afternoon. What a lovely result I thought and I am no dab hand with a paintbrush I assure you lol! Even after all this time that I have been making cards I learned 3 things yesterday, I have never heard anyone ever mentioned these little tips and tricks before, I was well impressed. Cheers Carol
Watercolour HollyThese are fairly plain designed cards but I love the simplicity of them, the detail is all in the watercolour.I am now at around 40 cards complete and well on my way to having them all done by the beginning of December yeah!I did also get this week the Paper Artsy Christmas Plates and a load of fantastic Brilliance and Versa Dewdrop inks. Great service and range from Stamp Galaxy. The pearlesecent ones are beautiful with their lovely shimmer, just perfect for Christmas cards and layouts. My ladies Group’s Cricut arrived this week and it is just brilliant! So pleased with it, simple, quick and so efficient. This will be so good at the group and easy for everyone to use. I am very happy with this purchase I tell you. Linda from A Treasured Memory has been working so hard to get these machines out to us all, her service was first class and I highly recommend her to anyone.I bust my stash budget 5 times over this month so in December and for sometime to come all I will be paying for is the teeny weeny box of TH stamps I have hidden at Craft Heaven! Honest ;)Now having also completed 2 DT projects in the last 24 hours I am all crafted out this week. So tonight I am slobbing in front of the box, something I rarely do and why? Because………I had a meeting here last night and one of the Guiders that helps at Brownies brought me a DVD with 5, yes 5 episodes of the new series of Lost! I am was beside myself and so tempted to watch some last night and this morning and this afternoon but I have waited and tonight I am going to lose myself in Lost!! Roz, I know you have these for me too but no need to panic now hahaha I have some to tide me over for now.Huggies xxP.S I have the pattern on its way to me for the Jester Bag and I will share it here when I have it
Thanks for your kind comments ladies.
