Nicholas Invitations.jpgToday is the last day my ickle one will be two, tomorrow he wakes up and starts being 3, bless him, so is soooo looking forward to his birthday. It is the first time he really understands what is happening and is patiently expecting his new bike (Which is hiding in the drawing room as I type heehee!) We have all made him cards and chosen his other gifts, he is going to have a ball! He is having a teddy bears picnic at 1PM with a few of his little friends. It won’t last long but enough for both him and I for sure.

Mum is much the same and is still having treatment in the High Dependency unit at the hospital. I managed to get into see her last night before I went to the craft demo. I was quite shocked by how she looked and it was the little things that she did, not said, that gave away just how awful she is. I just don’t see how she is ever going to cope at home alone after this?? Time will tell I suppose. She is so frail and struggles just to speak. She seems to drift out in and in as she talks, losing her place from time to time. Its a pitiful sight.

I keep forgetting that my connections with UK Scrappers means that some of my scrapping gets seen by folks outside my ‘bubble’ and last night I met the lovely Anne. She is a member on UKS and knew exactly who I was and said she had been telling her team mates that ‘cutnpaste’ was going along last night and she was very kind in her remarks about me *blush* Thanks Anne and best of luck with the new venture, a craft shop no less, and I shall be there for sure in Whitburn on opening day ;)

Today was a mad dash to get a few things done and last minute shopping (more fortunes spent in that darn Craft Heaven too! I only went in for a cup of tea hahah) but I am set now and I am heading off to bed in a bid to be on the ball tomorrow for my wee fella.

Oh! Before I go, you should take a look at this weeks ‘Speshal Dare’, an international dare this week taking in Aussie, NZ and the original US Effer Dares. Some wonderfully inspiring work on view, you would be missing out if you don’t go see ;) Fab work ‘Speshal Girls’ and all the international ‘Dare’ designers. Very impressive! Why not have a crack at this weeks challenge? All the details are on the blog linked above.

Have a great weekend.
