My Sick Baby
Thank you all for your kind messages over the last 24 hours, your kindess and offers of help leave me feeling very blessed to have such lovely friends.
I have nursed my wee Nicholas all afternoon as he was very sick, throwing up every half hour or so and I was in despair at his suffering! There is not much you can do but hold and reassure them that everything will be ok
Eventually the sickness stopped and he looked like a rag with big red eyes! He lay down for a time in my bed and was still until he threw up on it and then he moved to his own where he settled to nap. An hour later he was up and about, how quickly things change when your that age. I did not want to leave him with the arranged sitter tonight so I am missing my camera club but its fine, not worth the worry leaving him.
Mum has made some improvement after 24 hours of intensive oxygen therapy. She is still having blood taken regularly from a main artery to ensure that her vital organs are getting what oxygen they need. It is going to be a while yet before we know what the future holds for her but she is improved and that is something.
My hubby made it home very briefly last night so I at least got to sound off to him a little. He left mid morning after running to the supermarket for me and getting some essentials. He had to leave just after the wee man was sick and he was not a happy camper. This picture was taken an hour before as Nic showed his Dad his latest artwork, how proud does he look? (Dad that is
I run out briefly this morning to see Carol at Craftheaven. I received thee most touching email from her yesterday that left me very moved and touched. I wanted to give her a hug and tell her what it meant to me, job done. Thank you for being my friend… Lubs ya!!
So not the best of days once again, a mixed bag of news and emotions running high. However I have to share the power of crafting before I go.
About 9PM last night I decided to prep my kits for the demo I am doing tomorrow night (with a bit of luck) and got carried away with the new Blonde Moments Festive Feast papers. Alison had run a class last weekend using them and they were just adorable. I bought a 12×12 set and a 6×6 pad. I decided to have a play with the paper pad and run up a few cards with some embellishments made from scratch. We had been stamping with BM UTEE and I had enjoyed that and having bought 2 sets of stamps (trees and baubles) as well wanted to play hahaha! I had a couple of fun filled hours and what stress relief it was. My favourite things, nice papers, new stamps and glitter and all things shiny (micro beads and some flock) in red, green and gold I was in Christmas heaven! I even managed some ordinary embossing onto the papers without ruining them. Then I made some faux postage stamps from scraps with some stamping of course
I really like the results and decided to chuck that demo in tomorrow night too haha! (If I ever get there of course)

BM Card 2 Ok not great pictures of them, too many shiny bits lol! But I enjoyed it and I am glad I did it as I went to bed in a much better mood than I would have otherwise. Crafting therapy comes highly recommended!
So tomorrow I am supposed to wait in for my delivery of new storage boxes for my tote, pack my kit, look after Nic, I have an ironing that is scary then the child minder will take over at 5PM tp let me leave, hopefully fitting in a visit to the hospital to see my Mum on the way, so I have to prepare dinner and everything else they might need before I leave.
A quiet day then?
