Spending money that is not you own is just the best of fun isn’t it?

I am chairperson and part of a community group affectionately known as L.A.L.A (yes we saw the funny side at the time we named it lol) We started off doing a computer course together at the beginning of last year and quickly drifted into other areas. Mainly, crafting! No surprise there then eh? My friend Kathleen is also a crafter and between us we have moved this group of lovely ladies into all kinds of creating. I have blogged on some of our adventures before.

Well yesterday was the first meeting of the new term and due to dodgy council arrangements we met at my house. I quite enjoyed having visitors and the fresh coffee. We set about deciding and confirming the terms arrangements and then we had to do something about spending our grant.

We were lucky to get a substantial grant to get us going. It was mainly to pay for crèche facilities so that none of us with very young children were excluded for childcare reasons. That has worked well. There is still a large some of money waiting and needing to be spent so I drew up a list of items that included a Craft Robo and a Circuit. These have now been ordered and my excitement levels build at the prospect of what could be achieved not just by me but the group as a whole if I can get them all used to the new gadgets and confident in using them. A laptop is also being purchased as is a ton of stock and A N other manual die cutting system, possibly a Quick Cutz as I have a Big Shot and Sizzix dies already. How much fun is this going to be?

Off to the baby gym with Kathleen and the boys in the morning and then a visit to Craft Heaven with a blank cheque! Carol has no idea what is about to hit her hahaha!
