Around Corners
A daunting prospect is the task of designing a kit for others in a ‘live’ environment. These lovely K & Co papers were not hard to use, added were some lovely buttons, lush ribbon and cute photo corners and brads.

The crop is a mix of scrappers from complete beginners upwards so trying to come up with a page to meet everyone’s expectations was daunting. Carol and Madge love the design so that was good enough for me. They wanted to move to a kit that they could be sure would work on the day. No more having to add bits to pre bought kits and struggle with the differences between some of the kits. This way we can promote the fantastic stock that the shop holds and demonstrate a few techniques on the way. Start small think big, we are on the road!

This kit is mainly about using circular & semi circular templates, rounding corners, and inking for definition. Its hard to see with on line images the details on any page, this one is no different.
These papers were also quite busy and this I know scares some so finding a simple way to layer patterned papers and make an ‘easy on the eye’ page was important. Demonstrating the kit on the day wil be a breeze, putting it together was gusty!

We shall see how it goes on the 3rd September, will let you know ;)

What I have learned from this new experience so far is this , NEVER scrap yourself on a kit (Even if you choose it because the colours are ‘perfect’) it is going to end up on the front of a website LOL and on UKS! I never considered any of this when I did that *Blush* Oh and if you make little extra’s from the leftover kit, don’t show it before the day as it too will end up all over both websites *more blushes* No surprises left now or maybe..hmmm?

It has been a nerve racking time. I submitted my Jillybeans DT LO last week too. *gulp* All seemed like a good idea at the time haha! I have one more submission to make (You will see it very soon) and then I can breath and what will be, will be. I am far from a ‘perfect’ scrapper but I am trying my best to do what I think is good work with some style. I really struggle to determine what is a ‘good’ (subjective I know) LO and what isn’t. I have no distinct style and seem to be leaping from design to design with random ideas. Maybe that is my style, completely random LOL! I need to learn to trust my instincts a bit more. In 8 months it has brought me a long way.

I am thrilled to be designing and part of the Craft Heaven team. It’s a wonderful opportunity and I am very grateful for it.

Thanks Ladies
