If its not one thing it?s another!

Please ladies and gentlemen, be upstanding and welcome my special summer guest??..*drum roll please*?????..A HEAD COLD!!!

Would you credit it? Holidays on the doorstep and I have a cold, I despair! I still have one very sore ear, two irritated eyes and now a cold and cough, Woopee do??..

*sigh*

I made a trip into Craft Heaven to see Carol and collect my Heidi Swapp embellishment kit regardless, I felt like **** and I looked like **** but I went anyway. I was so pleased I did. Spent a lovely hour chatting while my sweetie pie played on the floor with Carol?s pricing gun LOL! I will owe her a fortune in replacement stickers soon. He was such a good boy and he does seem to have taken quite a shine to Carol bless him.

Felt much better when I left and was very pleased with the kit. It only took 6 minutes to get it out the packaging hahah! And I have started planning what to do with it. I might even be brave enough to take some to the crop at Carols on Sunday.


Before we left I was sitting sewing to try and finish another LO of little un. I had machine sewn the frame but decided I wanted a thicker look on the red stitching so I sat and hand sewed with double thickness thread (loony), it took and age but I like it. Got carried away hand sewing and added a few touches to a couple of the letters too, I quite enjoyed it and it was as much as my brain could cope with today.

I have 2 pages planned and ready for the crop now. Tomorrow hubby is taking Nicholas and James (Now on school hols) swimming and I shall get a third organised. I was thrilled to discover today that Maggie is going and I will finally get to meet her. So all in all, hoping I am fit, it should be a great crop. So pleased!

Also finished a black glass bead necklace I was doing as a gift. I have also added to my gallery a necklace from class on Monday. Kathleen brought down the silk painted strips we had made a few weeks ago and we set about sewing and beading. We all really liked the results; I think making these was definitely a class favourite.

Right now I must go put my ironing away and settle the girls.
