Storage Solutions
I sat down a few weeks ago and thought I really had to get a grip with storing my growing stash. I am a storage freak! And I must have a place for everything and everything in its place.
I had gotten some RUB boxes a few weeks back and these are fab but it?s a fiddle when they are piled on top of one another. These are now home to rubber stamps, stamping accessories, paints and other odds and ends. A much better use as I don?t need these daily so digging them out is no chore. My papers and cardstock were the real issue and when I saw a post on UKS Shopping from Julie at Scrapbooking Castle about new storage I just knew they were the answer.
I sit at a long, fairly wide desk with lots of top scrapping space. Its quite high so underneath it there is loads of room for storage, I just need the right kind, no more pulling out box after box to find what I need or want.
This drawer storage system is the business. Its fits perfectly and fits under the desk and right by my hand. So easy to pull out the drawers and make my paper/card choices a breeze. Its also home to my punches and other oversized items that I used daily. The drawers are perfect size and a good depth.
The hanging file trolley is also a great solution. The only draw back was that not one hanging file was included and that is a real pain and an expensive extra to an already expensive set. Julie threw in a set {Thank you} as she as was unhappy and surprised when she realised they were not included. She and other retailers have complained to their suppliers as this was not made clear to anyone when they were ordered. At ?12.99 for 5 files it is a costly extra as I said.
All that aside, the whole thing works for me. Everything I have has a home and there is plenty space for growth.
Today my Spinning Tool Station arrived to complete the show. It has made a big difference to the desk top space and everything is so easy to get to. I love it.
With all this new organisation there are no excuses now not to be able to get on and get some serious scrapping done.
The units in place………….
