Today was a bit shaky to say the least. I logged off last night having already returned Nicholas to bed at 9.15PM, he was screaming again at 11.15PM. I went up to see him and he was complaining very loudly about having sore ears. Bless him he was in real pain, never seen him like that before. Andrew got in just as this kicked off and we both felt so utterly helpless, it was awful. By 12.30AM he was no better. I had already given him Calpol earlier on so I was at a loss at what to do next. We decided to call NHS Direct. The system works, it was quite good and the nurse we spoke to advise Junior Ibuprofen as it contains an anti-inflammatory. We of course had none so Andrew went off to the 24 hour ASDA in search of some. An hour later Nicholas was back in bed asleep and peaceful. Pheeeww!! That did the trick.

I myself was much better again today. A bit rough after last night on top of my recovery but able to get through the day without too much fuss. Andrew went back to work this afternoon, won?t see him again until Tuesday night, so I had to get on with it as usual. I think that is the bit about feeling ill I hate the most. I have no one around me here to call in, make a coffee, just check up on me/us. I know plenty people for sure and I have some friends in the village but no family or anyone who cares enough or has the time just to stop by. I have always had to get through the worst times on my own (Andrew the exception of course), I have always only ever been able to count on me. There are more positives than negatives to this situation so I must not grumble to much.

When Nicholas went for his nap this afternoon I got a few more pages done for my brother in laws 50th Birthday book. One more page to go and our gift is complete. I can?t share any of these pages as some of those featured would surely object. Least said about that the better I think.

Managed to catch another track from Will on the Princes Trust show today. It was a stonking rendition of ?Who Am I?, blew me away. Saw another from Annie Lennox and Lionel Ritchie, fab!! Had to include this one last picture from last night????sorry!



Off to watch Invasion and Big Brother.
