This morning brought yet more sunshine, with it a chill in the wind making it much cooler than the last few day’s. We were all dressed and moving earlier this morning as we had to go to the girls primary school to attend the annual ‘Mayfair’.

Before we left I managed to draw and handcut a title for the ‘Altered Title’ challenge (over breakfast lol!) . I stuck small scraps of shredded plastic pieces onto the title and added a layer of glitter glue which I left to dry while we were out.

We got there about 11AM. There were the usual stalls selling their wares. Why is it that you donate to these stalls at the start of the week and by the end of the week you end up bringing home twice what you donated in the first place? Thought we had done well getting rid of a few extra videos, books and games, Mwhahaha! Who was I kidding?

Got home at 1PM laden with goods, had lunch and got Nicholas off for a nap. I squeezed in finishing my ‘Snow’ LO for my Garden Journal Album. I really like the effect of the voile in the black cardstock. The photo has a cut section which I raised onto 3D pads to give me somewhere to tie some fibers and add a journaling tag. This photo does not do this one justice at all.

Andrew had invited a friend round to watch the football this afternoon. He and his wife were duly picked up and they all took up positions in front of the box with beers in hand. I decided to use the time more productively and completed the ATDML ‘Scraplift’ challenge. I found a lovely LO in their design gallery and as I was in Garden Journal mode it seemed perfect. I keep making silly mistakes which irk me but time is not something I have too much of and I wanted it done, so it is. Its quite pretty and again so much better in real life lol! I hate my handwriting but I am going to do another with my handwriting as the main journaling. Maybe the more I do the more comfortable with it I will get.

Liverpool won the FA Cup, thank goodness! It was touch and go for a while. My craft room has french doors which lead to the sitting room where the game was on so I was able to follow the highs and lows of it all. By the time it got to penalties I was hiding behind the chair! With 2 scousers in the room (DH & friend) I was fearful of the mood had they lost. Dinner would have been a real dowdy affair LOL! As it was everything went well. I fed our guest, had some pink bubbles and finally got settled down around 9.30PM.

I started the BOM LO challenge tonight. I have cut the photo’s which took an age (all will be revealed) and now I am done. Just about enough energy to write this entry and then head off.

Its that lovely time of the month that women all love………. NOT! My tummy aches, my head aches and I must go rest.

Sleep well all.
